DISCUTZION
Experimental sandbox to test out my burgeoning social alignment interaction system. Type a line of dialogue and tag it with up to 5 aligned/misaligned traits, marking them as something your response supports or opposes. The NPC and your player character both have 16 value alignment profiles (0-1 per trait), editable via the input fields. Click the buttons to set all values to 0, 0.5, 1, or randomize. Or set them yourself manually.
0.5 is basically neutrality about a thing, anything higher is a level of agreement, anything lower is disagreement.
- When your send your message, the NPC agreement is calculated based on how well your tagged traits align with their values.
- There is an 'empathy' value, indicated by the purple number to the left of "Their Alignment" title that determines how much they believe you're being authentic (1 means they can see your sincerity clearly, lower values cause them to be unsure).
- The player's 'consistency' (how well your response matches your own alignment) affects whether the NPC sees you as genuine, and the social value gained/lost reflects their perception.
I'm still tuning everything so this sandbox is to test the value impacts of alignment and empathy and see if the responses behave in a predictable manner. It's posted here only for easier testing access. There may be updates but this is not a full-fledged game! Just a little doohickey to play with as I prepare it for use in future games.
